Kia ora Parents and Guardians,
Thank you for enrolling your child at Toddlers Turf Childcare Centre Incorporated. There is so much to think about when enrolling your child and sometimes things get missed so this is a brief run down on the operational management of the centre. However, if we have missed anything or you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask. Similarly if you are unhappy with our service in any way please let us know as soon as possible so that we can investigate and rectify the problem.
Hours of Attendance
We are required by the Ministry of Education to provide details of your child’s attendance compared to your enrolment agreement so please adhere to the days/hours of attendance your child is booked. If you need to change your child’s days/hours of attendance we can usually do this but we may need notice to accommodate the changes. Please ask for a change of enrolment details form at the office.
Fees are due weekly in advance and must be kept in advance at all times. Fees are charged upon enrolment not attendance. So although your child may not attend the full times booked due to illness and/or public holidays and/or family holidays you are still required to pay the full fee. You can pay by cash, cheque or automatic payment. Forms for automatic payment are issued upon enrolment and are also available from the office. Full details of fees are available from the office.
Toddlers Turf Childcare centre is part of the 20Hours early childhood education scheme. 20Hours is available to children age 3 and over. For the first 20 hours that your child attends the centre no payment is required. For all subsequent hours enrolled over 20 hours you are required to pay a fee. Terms and conditions apply so please ask at the office for the attendance and fee schedule.
20 Hours ECE
Upon the anniversary of your child’s start date you are entitled to apply for a one week holiday discount. This is 50% of your regular fee for one week, once a year. There are terms and conditions which you need to read before applying. Forms are available on the signing in and out desk or from the office.
WINZ provide a child care subsidy towards payment of your childcare fees. Eligibility is determined by WINZ and will be discussed with you when you apply. It can take up to 6 weeks for the application to be processed during this period you will be required to pay the full fee. Upon receipt of confirmation and payment details adjustment will be made (if applicable) to your child’s fees, any over payment will be credited to your account. It is entirely the parents’ responsibility to ensure WINZ are kept informed of changes to enrolment or personal circumstances. Toddlers Turf takes no responsibility for the continual payment of childcare subsidy. WINZ may cancel your subsidy at any time, if this happens you are required to pay the full fee and any outstanding debt until WINZ re-instated your childcare subsidy.
Work and Income New Zealand (WINZ)
The centre closes for all public holidays and two professional development teacher only days. During the Christmas-New Year holiday season the centre may close on days other than the public holidays. Details of which will be decided closer to the time. Please ask for up to date information.
If you are withdrawing your child from the centre we require two weeks’ notice in writing, this should be given into the office. However, any withdrawal is not desirable and we would like the opportunity to talk to you concerning your decision, unless of course your child is going to school. In that case we wish you good luck with your future.
Costs associated with dishonoured cheques will be billed to your account. If your childcare fees are in arrears and your child is no longer attending the centre this will be passed to our debt collection agency. All costs will be added to your childcare fee debt. If you are experiencing financial difficulty please come and talk to us.
