Children in the senior room are typically aged 3 years six months to 5 years of age, or older depending on when you intend to send your child to school. A day in the life of your pre-school child at Toddlers Turf Childcare Centre is full of promise and prospect. Intertwined with play we need to ensure your child eats, drinks, uses the toilet and has a sleep if required. These routines are very important in both the junior and the senior room and are subtly incorporated into your tamariki’s day. We view mealtimes as the perfect time to introduce social skills and table manners. Your child will be encouraged to serve themselves and in the spirit of tuakana teina, the Mâori tradition of older children helping younger children, your child will be supported to learn these skills also.
